Is It Possible To Fly An Rc Airplane Even If……?

It has only 3 channels…elevator, aileron and throttle control but without a rudder control which turns the aircraft left or right direction. So is it possible to turn rc airplane using only the ailerons and how safe is it to perform (turning) with it?

You can yank and bank an airplane, real big or rc, all you want without ever touching the rudder. Just as hard and fast as you like. Sure you’ll get a little tail wag but hey, let’s have some fun.

no problem at all. in my r/c days I hardly used rudder in flight accept for acrobatics. takeoff may be a little tricky but possible

Bank it and make what used to be called a flipper turn using the elevators.

You shouldn’t have too much of a problem as long as you’re not trying to make any tight turn. Ailerons are generally quite sufficient for making long lazy turns.
Back in my RC days, I rarely used rudder to make turns.
